Welcome to She’s Got The Mic: Live in Great Neck, an immersive day of speaking, visibility, and deep connection with an incredible room of women founders.
We’re taking over the ballroom at the Inn at Great Neck for a full day built around one simple idea:
More women deserve to be heard.
And this time, we’re opening up the stage in a big way.
Three Ways to Take the Mic
Throughout the day, we’ll hear from women at different stages of their speaking journey, with three distinct opportunities to step onto the stage.
14 Spotlight Talks | 5 Minutes
Five minutes. One big idea, story, lesson, or perspective.
Our Spotlight Talks are designed to give more women the opportunity to step onto the stage, share something that matters, and let the room get to know them and their work.
You don’t need a full keynote.
You need one thing worth saying.
6 Signature Talks | 10 Minutes
Ten minutes gives you room to go deeper.
Share a more developed idea. Tell a story and connect it to a lesson. Teach something. Challenge the audience to think differently. Deliver a short mini-keynote or TED-style talk.
This is your opportunity to take an idea beyond the spotlight and really bring the audience somewhere.
3 Featured Keynotes | 20 Minutes
Our longest speaking opportunities of the day are designed for speakers ready to deliver a fully developed signature talk or keynote-style presentation.
Priority will be given to recent participants in Build The Talk programming, giving them the opportunity to bring the talks they’ve developed to a live audience.
Three speakers. Twenty minutes each. The room is yours.
This Is More Than a Day of Talks
Doors open at 9:45 AM, and breakfast will be waiting.
Come early. Grab something to eat. Meet the women in the room. Start a conversation before we ever turn on the microphone.
We’ll begin promptly at 10:30 AM and spend the day moving between talks, connection, conversation, and plenty of opportunities to meet the women behind the ideas you’re hearing from the stage.
At 1:00 PM, we’ll break for a 45-minute lunch together.
Then we’ll head back into the ballroom for more talks before wrapping our stage programming at approximately 3:15 PM.
But don’t run out the door.
Stay for Cocktails & Connection
From 3:15–4:00 PM, the mic goes away and the conversations continue.
Enjoy a complimentary cocktail or soft drink, connect with the speakers whose ideas stayed with you, continue a conversation you started over breakfast or lunch, and meet more of the women in the room.
Because some of the most important moments of the day may happen offstage.
A conversation.
An introduction.
A collaboration.
A new client, friend, referral partner, or opportunity you didn’t know was waiting for you.
Want to Speak at Live in Great Neck?
Applications are open to members of She’s Got The Mic Speakers Collective for our 5-, 10-, and 20-minute speaking opportunities.
When you apply, you’ll tell us which speaking opportunity you’re interested in and what you’d like to bring to the stage.
For a 5-minute Spotlight Talk, think focused.
What is the one idea, story, lesson, or message you want this room to remember?
For a 10-minute Signature Talk, show us where you want to take the audience.
What do you want them to understand, feel, question, or do differently by the time you leave the stage?
And for a 20-minute Featured Keynote, tell us about the fully developed talk you’re ready to deliver.
Priority for Featured Keynote spots will be given to recent participants in Build The Talk programming.
Applications close Thursday, October 29th at 6:00 PM ET.
All applicants will be notified of speaking selections by Friday, October 30th.
