The Unpolished Mic is a one-hour virtual speaker lab where members of She's Got the Mic Speakers Collective have the opportunity to test fresh material, receive live feedback, and strengthen their message in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Whether you're refining your signature keynote, experimenting with a new opening, testing a story, or simply getting your speaking reps in, this is your chance to practice before the stakes are high.
Because great talks aren't built in isolation.
They're built one audience at a time.
How It Works
Five speakers will each have:
- 5 minutes to present
- 6 minutes of interactive feedback facilitated by Lauren Chapnick
Together, we'll celebrate what's working, identify opportunities to strengthen the message, and help each speaker leave with greater clarity and confidence.
Whether you're speaking or observing, you'll learn just as much from the feedback as you will from the presentations.
Test ideas. Get feedback. Keep building.
Speaker Applications
Speaker spots are available on a first come, first served basis.
The first five members to apply will be selected to speak.
Once the speaker spots are filled, applications will close.
If all speaker spots have been claimed, you're still invited to join us as an audience member and participate in the feedback throughout the hour.

This event is included with all active memberships in She's Got the Mic Speakers Collective.
There is no additional cost to attend. The Zoom link will be sent to all members the day before the event, but please register to attend so we can be sure to include you on any announcements or changes.
