The Unpolished Mic: Halloween Edition
Virtual Hot Five Speaker Lab

Live on Zoom

Halloween is scary. Taking the mic doesn’t have to be.
We’re bringing back our popular virtual speaker series for a Halloween edition of The Unpolished Mic!
Bring five minutes of a talk, a story, a new opening, or anything you’re working on right now. It doesn’t need to be finished, memorized, or polished. You can use your notes, try something new, and give your ideas a little room to grow.
This is your chance to practice in a supportive space, hear what’s connecting with an audience, and get feedback that helps you move forward.
How it works
Five members will each have:
-
Five minutes to share their material.
-
Six minutes of interactive feedback facilitated by Lauren Chapnick.
Together, we’ll celebrate what’s working and explore ways to make your message clearer, stronger, and more memorable.
Want to take the mic?
The first five members to apply will receive a speaker spot. Applications will close once those spots are filled, so if you’ve been waiting for a chance to test something out, this is it.
Prefer to watch and learn?
Come join the audience! You’ll participate in the feedback and pick up practical ideas you can use in your own talks. You don’t have to speak to get something valuable from this hour.
A little Halloween spirit
Costumes are welcome, but completely optional. Bring your coffee, your curiosity, and your unfinished ideas. The only thing you don’t need to bring is a perfect performance.
